WebJul 11, 2024 · It is possible to visit the ruins of Pinkuylluna between the hours of 7am and 4:30pm by hiking a short distance from the central plaza in Ollanta. There is no entrance fee, and no guide is required (as of April, 2024). To reach the ruins walk northeast from the plaza to reach Lares Calle a few hundred feet away.
WebPinkuylluna is located on Lare Calle, just above APU Lodge in Ollantaytambo. It's a steep but scenically rewarding hike up and it's free. You can see the Ollantaytambo Ruins (Fortress) from up top as well. It can be challenging if you're not accustomed to the altitude, but also a good practice hike as it's maybe 30 minutes up.
